A unique video that deviated from my typical style and aimed to capitalise on a popular format at the time. It was recorded live with several other creators involved and focused on creating smaller segments with new re-engagement points throughout. By analysing the average viewer duration I was able to deduce this was fairly effective with round 60% viewer retention which is above typical for my videos, resulting in the algorithm picking the video up and over 400,000 views to date.
The video also benefited from the hype leading up to the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. During the promotional period, I released the Pokémon designs featured in the video into the wild before the full upload went live. This created a rewarding watch for viewers as it was visible in the thumbnail and had already spread virally across Pokémon communities. I am proud that I was able to adopt a completely different video style from another niche and apply it in the Pokémon space effectively.
