The diorama is intended to be a cutout of a much larger castle, showing the pathway leading up to the gate. The area is heavily stylised with an emphasis on bright cartoon like textures. This was something that I wanted to look like a slice out of a map of a medieval combat game.
Modelling for the space was created in Autodesk Maya before being textured and normal mapped in Photoshop. The screenshots shown above were taken from the diorama in Unreal Engine.
