Kidd required an incredibly fast turnaround for this project due to advertisement responsibilities. I was tasked with taking it on and worked closely to deliver the project in just over a week without compromising the established quality of his channel. To make this possible, I paused another ongoing video edit for Captain Kidd to fully dedicate myself to this one.
Feedback loops were provided daily at the end of day to ensure no development time was wasted, and it was implemented immediately the following morning. I enjoyed this working dynamic, as it flowed well and allowed the video to come together quickly and far more streamlined than some other projects. To reduce the typical production time for these types of videos, I relied on recurring modular scenes, such as Pokémon stat screens, to maintain perceived quality and uniformity throughout.
The video also had focused on a dying trend at the time, which added further pressure for a fast release. It received 75,000 views in the first four days, slightly below what is typical for what I may expect, but it met the sponsor’s requirements, and they were ultimately happy with the project.
