Understanding of popular social media editing techniques
A video edit for YouTuber Captain Kidd, working as part of a small team of three. I took the lead on the edit, delivering the first 30 minutes before the project was handed off to another editor. I then rounded out the production by bringing the two halves together ensuring uniformity throughout and having editorial freedom to make changes. Working closely with Kidd and the other editor on the project we were able to implement feedback quick and effectively throughout, achieving a polished hour long video that I am incredibly proud of.
A quick turnaround was required to meet the game’s release window, and I’m very happy with the level of quality achieved despite the strict delivery date. The video was well received and reached an audience of over 100,000 views in its first week of release.
